Welcome to my website

Welcome to my E-portfolio site. My name is Danette Buckley and I have recently completed my BA in Elementary Education.

Throughout this site, you'll find various lesson plans that I've developed throughout my studies over the last two years. My goal is to provide this site as an instant reminder of the work I've done and continue to do; to use it as a reflective tool and preparation for my future classroom. My hope is to also have the site accessible to those who may need to view my knowledge and ability to design lessons that are age appropriate.

Prior to completing my Education degree, I worked as a Paraprofessional which provided great insights into working with students with Special needs and having an inclusive classroom. The experiences gained there were incooperating into my Student Teaching Semester where I taught FIrst Grade. After completing my BA, I began to work as a Substitute Teacher which provided opportunities to learn, modify my knowledge and improve my craft. I've aslo worked with "At risks youths" adn with adults in college advising. My background, though varied, all combined to  improve my teaching abilities and allow me to be a reflective teacher.
